Hi I’m Hannah…. Owner of Authentic Gems, solo traveler & designer.

I guess if I didn’t hate labels so much I would call myself a “Digital Nomad”

I love living my life out of a 40l backpack, sleeping in hostels and never really being sure where I’m going next. It didn’t take until very long into my travels to realise I’m not very good at sticking to plans and I have a tendency to get “stuck” everywhere longer than intended.

I’m not a tick box traveler rushing through places so I can add them to my list of places visited. If I’m happy somewhere I’ll stay until I feel it’s time to leave. I’ve spent a year & a half in South East Asia, mostly in Malaysia & Vietnam, 2 months in Thailand, a visa run to Cambodia (though I intend to go back) and a few days in Singapore.

try anything…

Experience everything”

I’ve never been a materialistic person and have always preferred experiences over things. I did a bungee jump for my 18th birthday, as well as rolling down a hill in an inflatable ball, attempting indoor snowboarding and doing a sky dive as birthday presents since. So living my life with just the stuff I can carry with me and the freedom that that gives me is perfect.
