I tend not to do too many tours when I’m travelling. I prefer to just go out and explore places on my own, either walking or using local public transport. It’s a personal preference of the way I like to travel. I often find when part of a tour you are being rushed to fit loads in and you don’t get to really experience where ever it is that you are.
However there are a few tours that I have done during my time in South East Asia. Where I really enjoyed the experience and would definitely recommend them.
True North Tour
Flipside hostel – Hanoi
The True North tour is a 3day – 4 night Motorbike tour in the north of Vietnam on the famous Ha Giang loop. Ride by yourself, take a mate on the back or ride shotgun, the choice is yours.
This was one that I very nearly didn’t do. But it turned out to be probably the best experience of my 4 months in Vietnam and possibly of my time in South East Asia as a whole. You can read my post about what I got up tor here
Ba Be national park & Ban Gioc Waterfall
Mr Linh’s Adventures
This was a 3 day tour in the north of Vietnam visiting Ban Gioc Waterfall and staying at a homestay at Ba Be national park.
Ha long bay day tour
Cat Ba Ventures
A one day boat tour of Ha long bay leaving from Cat Ba Island. Including cave kayaking and jumping of the boat for a swim.
Alternative Berlin – Free walking tour
